A Story Worth Telling
For founder Daria Kim, soft serve has always meant more than dessert.
Growing up, trips to get ice cream with her father were never planned. They were spontaneous — small, unhurried afternoons that somehow felt lighter than the rest. Nothing extravagant. Nothing elaborate. Just dad and the kids, ice cream in hand, and the simple feeling that everything was exactly as it should be.
She called those afternoons the Best Day Ever
Not because of anything grand. Because of togetherness. Because the sweetness of soft serve became tied to warmth, comfort, and the particular kind of joy that only the simplest things can carry. That memory never left her. And eventually, it became the foundation for everything Silver Hoof is.

Ours starts with a custom-crafted recipe made from 100% pure, all-natural California dairy — sourced from a historic family-owned farm rooted in Southern California since 1913. A farm that has spent over a century doing things the right way, which is exactly why we chose them.
